This is my second time in Istanbul and my 3rd hotel in Sultanahmet. It is by far the best hotel I’ve stayed in in this area. The room and bathroom are nice and clean. The rooms and reception are are exactly like in the picture, and the staff are probably one of the main highlights of this hotel. They’re so kind, friendly and extremely helpful and thoughtful especially Ilham and Anwar. The breakfast is by far the best out of the 3 hotels we stayed at. They had a range of cheeses, olives, salami and other Turkish breakfast items. Tea and coffee was available and they had cakes and sweets everyday, fruits, jams, cornflakes and a new honeycomb everyday. And everyday they had 4 different hot items which mainly included boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, fried onions rings or potato/hash browns, and some other sausy hot dish with sausages or something else. They tried to change up the hot food and cheeses and Turkish items every 1-2 days to keep the breakfast varied. They also didn’t mind making omelettes on request if really needed but honestly the breakfast is good enough without personal requests. It was something me and my husband looked forward to every morning as there was just so much choice. Location of the hotel is also great. It’s just a 2 minute walk to the tram station. Aya Sophia, The grand bazaar, spice bazaar and blue mosque are all within walking distance. So is the pier where you can get a Bosphorus ride or grab a ferry to the Asian side or Princess Island. Bare in mind it’s one hotel but with 2 different wings, so on Booking you will find it as Hotel Black Pearl and Hotel Black Tulip. We stayed in Hotel Black Pearl which had the pink interior. I assume Black Tulip is the brownish interior. The only other difference is that Black Pearl has steps up to the elevator that takes you to the rooms whereas Black Tulip has an elevator directly from reception and is therefore step free.

We really enjoyed our stay in Hotel Black Pearl. It is easy to communicate wz hotel via whatsapp if you have any question or need special service. Hotel offered us paid transport from/to the airport. That was definitely worth the money. We travelled wz too teenage girls and the car interior made them feel some party vibes. Overall great experience, comfortable and fast. We booked family room for 5 nights. Room was spacious and beds were really comfortable. There was a kettle and wide choice of teas and coffees plus free bottles of water every day. Balkony overlooking the street. Room has both panel heating for winter and aircon for summer. Delicious bufet breakfast was served in a lounge next to the reception. There was wide choice of food. Hot bufet slightly different every day so we did not get bored with same food. Good choice of vegetables and fruits. We enjoyed it a lot. I must mention staff in the reception. They were very helpfull, gave us some brochures and map of Istanbul on arrival and offered help with trips and other tourist activities in the city. All of them were very proffesional with really good level of english. Always greeting us with smile. Hotel is located with a walking distance from Hagia Sofia, roman cisterns and Blue mosque. Entrance to a big park is just few steps from the hotel. Tram stop is round the corner. Galata bridge and ferries port is also within walking distance including Egyptian spice bazaar. We totally reccommend staying in this hotel and we are looking forward for our next trip to Istanbul.

I had an amazing and wonderful stay in Black Pearl Hotel with my family. I want to thank all the staff of the hotel, specially Anwar for a great welcome on our arrival and also for a great hospitality when we left the hotel. Our room was cleaned all the time and the breakfast was so tasty and lots of different varieties. Perfect location, close to all attractions, TopKapi palace, Gulhane Park, Aya Sofia mosque, Sultan Ahmet mosque, Yani Mosque, Egyptian Bazaar, Eminonu Bazaar, Metro and train station, lots of restaurants and much more. We left the hotel early in the morning before the breakfast timing, thanks to Anwar and staff again to arrange special breakfast bags for me and my family, so appreciated. And the same for fruit bucket and gifts for our children :). We will definitely visit the hotel again. Overall, great staff, great hotel, great location and really worth for money.

Location is fantastic: short walking distance to many tourist sites, good restaurants, small shops with pharmacy/small items/fruit stands, right on the tram and metro lines, as well as near Hop On Hop Off line. Customer service at the hotel is superb: excellent English and Russian, help is provided with every issue (helping our taxi driver to find the hotel, difficulty buying a Instakart, figuring out airport transfer, currency exchange, arranging tours, etc). They go above and beyond in helping with any issue you might have as a tourist. The room was quiet (the outside noise was audible but not disturbing; you can hear neighbors through the bathroom wall but ours were not very loud and not at night). The air conditioner worked well.

All staff Ilham, Mohd & others are very cooperative & helpful in every aspect. Location is very near to Topkapi, Hagia Sofia & Blue Mosque. Metro is Just a wakable distance which is very close to Hotel. Hotel is having 24/7 service where we need assistance in midnight which they have assisted in very good manner. Staff had arranged transfer to/for the airport. if we required Taxi they have arranged in very few minutes. Market & resturants are very close to the hotel. I really recommend the same hotel for my next visit to Istanbul where rooms are big which is beyond my expectations & comfort level is excellent.
